This is my easy creamy vegan tahini dressing. It is my go to for salads and buddha bowls. Quick and easy to make; it only has four ingredients.
This tahini dressing is so so creamy, proving once again that you don’t need to give up your favourite textures when you go vegan. I love creamy sauces, dips, dressings. It’s a comforting texture and this dressing does not disappoint!
If you didn’t already know, tahini is a paste made from sesame seed. It is probably most popular for its use in hummus. Sesame seeds are high in a wide range of health-benefiting minerals and vitamins. Copper, manganese, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, selenium, and vitamin B1 are especially highly concentrated in these seeds.
Sesame seeds are also an excellent source of dietary fiber and although they are high in fat, it is mainly the good kind of fat that helps lower LDL (bad cholesterol) and increases HDL (good cholesterol) in the blood.
We have been trying to include more tahini in our diet at home. I have found that it is nice on apple slices and also on toast with a bit of maple syrup but this dressing has been my favourite way to have tahini so far (other than hummus of course!)
I hope you enjoy this as much as we have!
