I love treating my son to delicious food but I also want it to be as healthy and wholesome as possible. These cookies totally fit the bill and are a perfect, tasty, nutritious treat. They are great for breakfast on the go or for snacking.
I also love delicious food that is easy to make and these require just seven ingredients, one bowl, and 10 minutes in the oven. Perfect!
The oats, peanut butter, flaxseed, banana, and cinnamon are all high in fiber, great for digestive health. Flaxseed is also high in antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids. The peanut butter and banana are good sources of manganese, potassium, and copper; all good for bones, nervous system, and energy levels. Cinnamon is high in calcium, a good anti-inflammatory, and helps regulate blood sugar levels.
Be careful when buying peanut butter. A lot of the peanut butter available in shops is full of added oils, sugar, and salt. I only buy all natural peanut butter made of 100% peanuts like this one.
